Through binoculars I watched two loons for weeks and heard their distinctive call numerous times throughout the days. Zoom on my camera will not capture them well enough, but here is one picture of one of the loons. I did get photos of a huge flock of bufflehead ducks which I had never seen before living here. They are adorable little birds with white markings, when tipped upside down to eat, become rows of white puffy fluff, like dumplings in a bowl of soup. I've included a close-up photo from the internet.
